Father's Day

Since his famous Responsibility speech during the election, I've been just a little annoyed with now President Obama. Granted absentee fathers are a huge problem in the Black community, but is the issue less prevalent in other communities?

If it were there would be no Lifetime TV. [Just sayin]

This president ran on the idea of America as "post-racial" so he could avoid being criticized for not addressing issues in the Black community. However when he finally decided that it was time to address the Black community he chose this topic.

All due respect President Obama, where were you when the cops were acquitted in the Sean Bell case? What do you think of the Oscar Grant case here in California? What about the young man in Texas that was accosted by police in his own driveway?

I'm a politics junkie so I get it. I understand that the fallout would be much too great if you were to address this issue. However, if you can't acknowledge that we still have a way to go on the road to "post-racial" please don't preach to us on a subject that's not uniquely ours. Just ask Bristol Palin.

Happy Father's Day!!!!!
